Alsager School has answered a call to help with vaccinator training.

Recently, the school said it was “pleased” to support a mass training programme for volunteer vaccinators being held at Staffordshire University.

St John Ambulance has been running training sessions for volunteer vaccinators and as part of this, every candidate must complete CPR training.

Local organisations were approached to loan CPR mannequins for St John Ambulance trainers to use on the course.

Alsager School recently acquired 12 new Resusci Anne mannequins with help from the Alsager School Parents In Partnership and was pleased to make these available to help with the vaccinator training.

More than 100 volunteer vaccinators were trained in life-saving CPR and St John Ambulance West Midlands training co-ordinator Wendy Bown said she was “very grateful” for the school’s support.
