The cancellation of a half marathon event didn’t deter six local runners from getting on their marks for a good cause.
When the Tatton Park event was cancelled due to the pandemic, the super six ran their own 13-miler on Sunday morning.
They trained hard for six months and raised around £5,000 for the Dougie Mac Hospice, which looked after their father ‘Big’ Ashley Bedson, who died of cancer last year.
They ran 13.1 miles, Sandbach to Crewe and back, in the bitterly cold wind.
