CALLAGHAN (Thelma, née Dean). Peacefully at rest on 24th January 2025, while in the loving care of her family and all the staff at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Thelma, of Burslem and latterly Knypersley, aged 96. A devoted wife to the late John; a loving mum to Pete, Rob, Jeff, Pat and Nigel; a cherished nan to Zoe, Kai and Sara; a much-loved great-nan, and friend to many who will be truly missed. The funeral service and cremation is to be held at Bradwell Crematorium on Monday, 17th February at 10am. Would all relatives and friends please meet at the crematorium. CAMPBELL (Roy). Peacefully on 16th January 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Roy, aged 90, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted husband of the late Marie, and a dear brother and brother-in-law. HANCOCK (Harold Thomas). Peacefully passed away at Royal Stoke University Hospital on 21st January 2025, with his loving family by his side, Harold, aged 82, of Gillow Heath. A devoted husband of Doreen for 61 years; a dearly loved dad of Andrew and Dianne; a dear father-in-law of Michael; a much-loved granddad of Benjamine and Alisha Grace; loving brother of Pamela; treasured brother-in-law of Derrick, Betty and Albert, and a dear uncle and a very special friend to many. Harold will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his very loving family and many friends. MACHIN (Beryl Irene). Beryl passed away quietly on Wednesday, 15th January 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, aged 94. Beryl, a much-cherished mum, grandma and friend, will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, emotional support, kindness and sense of humour, and will be sadly missed by all. The beloved daughter of the late William and Matilda Machin; a dear sister of Harold; much-loved sister-in-law to Myra; loving aunt of Linda and Frank, and a good friend and neighbour to many. Vera will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. SUTTON (Geoffrey Brian). Passed away peacefully on 24th January 2025, aged 80. THOMPSON (Philip Raymond, “Phil”). Phil passed away suddenly on Sunday, 12th January 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family, aged 69. Phil was a loving husband of Kathryn, with whom he shared over 40 years, and was a proud dad to Loren and Emma. Phil will be fondly remembered for his sharp wit, his love of the outdoors and his passionate opinions. A true enthusiast of shooting, metal detecting, and exploring woodlands, he found joy in nature and the quiet companionship of his dog. Known for his generosity, Phil was always willing to lend a hand or share what he had. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
