BOOTH (Matthew). Matthew, formerly of Biddulph, passed away suddenly on 26th March, aged 46. The beloved husband to Liz; cherished son to Neil and Carol; dearly loved brother to Adam and Daniel, and treasured son-in-law to Michael and Pam. Matthew will be greatly missed by his many loyal friends and colleagues, and forever in our hearts. A funeral to celebrate Matthew’s life will be held at 11am on Friday, 12th May at St Lawrence’s Church in Biddulph, followed by committal at Woodhouse Burial Ground. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu of flowers to the MIND charity. Mourners are invited to the Rose and Crown public house, 440, New Street, Biddulph Moor, (ST8 7HZ) following the service to further celebrate Matthew’s life. CANNON (Raymond Patrick, “Ray”). At rest on 23rd April 2023, while in the care of his loving family and all the staff at Tall Oaks Nursing Home, after a strongly fought battle, Ray, of Biddulph, aged 68 years. A dearly loved dad to Natasha; a cherished granddad to Grace; a special brother to Vera, Mick, Kathleen and the late John and Rosie, and a dear friend to many who will be truly missed. The funeral service and cremation is to be held at Bradwell Crematorium on Tuesday, 9th May at 10am. Refreshments will be served at Barley Mow where everyone is welcome to join the family. Raymond wished for mourners to wear comfortable clothing in any colour; hats are optional. Would all relatives and friends please meet at the crematorium. CARTER (Sheila). Peacefully at rest on 21st April 2023, while at Asbury Mere Nursing Home, Sheila, formally of Fountain Court, Biddulph, and born and raised in Chesterton, aged 91 years. The devoted wife of the late Ron Carter; mother to Alastair and Francine; mother-in-law to Keith, and Grandmother to William. The funeral service is to be held at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, on Monday, 15th May at 1pm, followed by cremation at Bradwell Crematorium. HORTON (Sheila, nee Lawton). Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, 18th April 2023, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Sheila, aged 85 years, of Congleton. The devoted wife of the late Brian; much-loved mum of Mark; very dear mother-in-law of Karen; cherished nana of Emily; treasured great-nana of Keira and Ruby; missed sister of Bill and the late Roy, Joan and Peter; and a greatly missed sister-in-law, auntie, great-auntie and cousin. Sheila will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by all that knew her. The funeral service will take place at 4pm on Tuesday, 9th May at The Birches Crematorium, Birches Lane, (CW9 7SU). SANDERSON (Dorothy Margaret, “Dot”). Peacefully passed away on Sunday, 23rd April 2023, Dot, aged 88 years of Sandbach. The loving and devoted wife of the late Leslie; loving mum of Carole and Les and mother-in-law of John; a very dear sister of Marjorie, and a dear sister-in-law and auntie. Dot will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. The funeral service is to take place at Haslington United Reformed Church on Tuesday, 16th May at 12.15pm followed by interment at Sandbach Cemetery.
