BIDDULPH (Joy Alexandra). Peacefully passed away on 14th June 2023, at her home, Joy Alexandra Biddulph, aged 70 years, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Richard Biddulph; loving mum of Richard, Theresa and Daniel; dear mother-in-law of Emma, Neil and Leighana, and a cherished and treasured grannie and great grannie. The cortege is to leave her daughter’s home on Thursday, 13th July at 11.40am for a service at St Stephen’s Church, Congleton, at noon, followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. CHADWICK (Elizabeth Alice, “Liz”). Died suddenly at home, surrounded by family, on 26th May 2023, aged 75. She was the widow of the late Mr Melv Chadwick and a dear mum of Eva and Andy; much-loved grandparent of Ash, Josh, Matthew, Nathan, Tom and Emma; great grandparent of Mia and Luca; big sister of Marion, Maggie, John and Pete, and mother-in-law of Rob and Sue. The funeral service will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 14th July at 1.15pm. Family flowers only but donations if desired in memory of Liz to Macmillan Cancer Support. GARVEY (Eric). Peacefully at rest on Saturday, 17th June 2023, while at St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice, Winsford, in the presence of his loving family, Eric, aged 77 years, of Mount Pleasant, Mow Cop. He was the dearly loved husband of the late Christine; much-loved dad of Kerry; a dear father-in-law of Glenn; adored grandad of Anthony; stepdad of Samuel; and a loving brother and brother-in-law of Pat, Myles, Fred, Christine and the late Josephine and Christine. Eric will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends. No funeral service is to take place, at Eric’s request. GROVES (Brenda). Passed away peacefully on 14th June 2023 at Leighton Hospital, Brenda, aged 87 years. A much-loved mum to Janet and Diane and a treasured mother-in-law to Paul and Michael; devoted grandma to Oliver and partner Laura, Tom and wife Sam, Izzy and Daisy; a great grandma to Brody; and a dearly loved sister to Jean, Doreen, Thelma, Daphne, Derek, and the late Bill and Linda. The funeral service is to take place on Monday, 10th July at The Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 11am. HODGES (Nigel David Malcolm). It is with great sadness that we announce that Nigel passed away on 11th June 2023 at home in Congleton, aged 69. Nigel was the beloved and devoted husband of Gillian; loving father of Neal and Paul; dear father-in-law of Kate and Kirsty, and adored granddad of Amelie, Daisy and Abria. He will be hugely missed. NEIL (Bryan). Of Congleton, formerly of Macclesfield, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, 17th June 2023 at Royal University Hospital Stoke, surrounded by his loving family, aged 73. He was the wonderful husband of Fiona; much-loved dad to Andrew and father-in-law to Leigh-Anne; cherished and treasured granddad to Noah and Elijah, respected brother of Hazel, and friend to many. Bryan will be lovingly remembered by everyone that knew him for being a keen golfer, walker and football fan. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, (CW9 7SU) at 10am on Wednesday, 5th July. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Bryan’s life. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolence and cards that have been sent in Bryan’s memory. RIDDELL (Robert Anthony). Passed away peacefully on 17th June 2023, Anthony, aged 83 years of Kermincham.
