COPPENHALL (Jean). Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on 20th February 2024, Jean, aged 91, of Sandbach. The beloved wife of Derrick; devoted mum to Timothy and Susan, and a much-loved nanna and great-nanna. MOUNTAIN (Laura). Laura passed away peacefully on Saturday, 10th February 2024 at Astbury Mere Care Home surrounded by her loving family, aged 84. She was the cherished wife of the late Dennis; loving mum to Julie and Jane; much-loved grandma of Becky, Lance, Kelly, Nikki and Charlie, and great-grandmother to Ryan, Ellie, Alex, Thomas, Lara and Matilda. Laura will be dearly missed by her family. She was well known around Congleton from working in Stuart’s shop. The funeral will be held at Hill Top Methodist Church, Biddulph Moor, at 11am on Friday, 8th March. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Laura’s life. NICHOLSON (Imogene Mary, “Jean”). On Saturday, 17th February 2024, Jean died peacefully in the presence of her dearest family while at Royal Stoke University Hospital. Jean was 89 years old and resided in Biddulph. She was the dearly beloved and devoted wife of the late George Nicholson; a treasured mum of Peter, Beverley and Sherron, and a cherished nan, great-nan and a good friend and dear neighbour to many. Jean will be sadly missed but affectionally remembered by all her loving family and many friends. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will take place at the Life Stream Church, Knypersley, on Tuesday, 12th March at noon prior to interment into St Lawrence’s Churchyard. PRINCE (Janet Anne). Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 15th February 2024 at Leighton Hospital, Janet, aged 91, of Longdown Road. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Rebecca, her son-in-law Jonathan and her cherished grandsons James and Lewis. Janet will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and all who knew her. SKERRATT (Eileen). We are sad to announce that Eileen Skerratt (née Corbishley) died peacefully on 14th February 2024 at Clayton Manor Care Home, aged 101. Eileen was the dearly loved wife of the late Frank Skerratt, and the loving mum of their sons Peter, Stephen and Michael. A brief committal service will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium at 11.30am on Friday, 15th March, followed by a service of thanksgiving for Eileen’s life at 12.15pm at Wellspring Methodist Church, Congleton. Refreshments will be available at the church afterwards. STRINGER (Graham). Graham passed away suddenly on Wednesday, 14th February 2024 at home, aged 85. Graham will be remembered for his strength of character and resilience, and his joy of painting and gardening and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
