DOOLEY (Doreen Ann). Passed away peacefully at her home in Congleton on 18th September 2023, surrounded by her loving family, Doreen, aged 85 years. The devoted wife of the late John; missed partner of Bill; dearly loved mother of Lynn and Kevan; dear mother-in-law of Mark and the late Judith; treasured nan of Samantha, Jonathan, Leanne and Marcus; cherished great-nan of Liam, Megan, Jax and Ava; much-loved sister of Ian and Graham; dearest sister-in-law of Alison and the late Agnes; adored auntie of Jane, Richard, Megan and Grace, and fond great-auntie of Ava and Cacey. The funeral service will be held at St Peter’s Church, Congleton, on Wednesday, 4th October at 1.30pm, followed by a committal service at Macclesfield Crematorium. Family flowers only. GREEN (Brenda). Tim, Julian and family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who kindly sent cards and messages of sympathy and donations to Endon Methodist Church in memory of mum. We were also comforted to see so many friends at the funeral service, which was a great tribute to mum’s memory and so very much appreciated by us all.

GROOM (Simon Mark). Suddenly on Wednesday, 13th September, Simon, aged 41 years, of Biddulph, and formerly of Norwich. The devoted and most precious husband of Kerry; treasured and doting dad of Lucy; cherished son of Peter and Linda; dearest son-in-law to Selwyn and Patricia; a special brother of Rachel; loving brother-in-law to Lee, Christine and Lee; much-loved uncle to Thomas and Oscar, and a good friend, neighbour and colleague to many. Simon will be deeply missed by all his loving family and many friends. A service to celebrate the life and love of Simon will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Thursday, 5th October at noon. HOWSON (William Geoffrey). Peacefully on 8th September 2023, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, William Geoffrey, aged 88 years of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted husband of the late Linda Howson, and a dear brother and uncle. A graveside service and interment will take place at Congleton Town Cemetery on Wednesday, 4th October at 11am. JONES (Ellis). Passed away peacefully at Belvedere Care Home, Alderley Edge, on 23rd September 2023, Ellis aged 92 years, of Haslington. The devoted husband of the late Pat; much-loved dad to Stephen, Ian and the late Michael; treasured granddad and great-granddad. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Dementia UK. OAKES (Graham). Passed away peacefully at Leighton Hospital on 19th September 2023, Graham aged 89 years of Bradwall, and formerly Knypersley. PASS (Florence May, “May,” nee Wootten). At rest on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 at the Maples Residential Home, Porthill, aged 94 years. The beloved wife of the late Graham; much-loved mum of Anne and Andrew; mother-in-law of Andrew and Clare; grandma of Kate, Eleanor, Leon and Tala, and great-grandma of Ivy and Teddy. May will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who loved and knew her. A service will be held at Carmountside Crematorium on Thursday, 5th October at 11.30am. PROCTOR (Kenneth). The Rev Kenneth Noel Proctor, aged 90 years, passed away peacefully in hospital in the presence of his two daughters on the 14th September. He was a much-loved husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed. The funeral service is to be held at St Mary’s Church Astbury, on Thursday, 5th October at 11am. SHAW (Raymond “Ray”, “Tucker”). Suddenly but peacefully passed away at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on 16th September 2023, Raymond, aged 80 years, of Biddulph. A devoted husband, dad and granddad. Raymond will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, friends and neighbours. WOLF (Jean). Jean passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 19th September 2023 in the care of The Willows Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family, aged 83. The cherished wife of the late Keith; loving mother to Amanda and Tracy; much-loved mother-in-law to Paul and Matt; nana to Samantha, Joshua and Chloe, and great nana to Charlie, Isabelle and Louie. Jean will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour, strength of character and love for her family and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, CW9 7SU, at noon on Wednesday, 11th October. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Jean’s life.
