BASKERVILLE (Freda). Passed away peacefully at home on 17th February 2025, Freda, aged 88, of Lower Withington. The devoted wife of Allen; loving mum to Clare and son-in-law Craig, and much-loved nan to Georgia and Aidan. BISHOP (Gillian Anne). Gillian Anne, of Alsager. Peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, 10th February. BRITTAIN (Geoffrey Edward). Peacefully on 14th February 2025, Geoffrey Edward, aged 96, of Congleton. BURTON (Margaret). Passed away peacefully on Monday, 17th February 2025 in the care of Priesty Fields Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family, aged 92. The cherished wife of the late Alex Burton, she was a wonderful mother, grandma, and great-grandma. Margaret will be remembered for her warmth and kindness. Her love of family, her joy for life and her faith in people. She was at the heart of every family gathering and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at Congleton United Reformed Church, at 1pm on Thursday, 20th March. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Margaret’s life. YATES (Nancy Alberta, nee Armitt). Passed away peacefully at Macclesfield District General Hospital on Monday, 3rd February 2025, Nancy, originally born in Biddulph and then of Congleton, aged 102. The devoted wife of the late Abel and loved mum of the late Robert. Nancy will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, friends and neighbours. She will also be fondly remembered by all the care staff at Clayton Manor Care Home, where she spent her latter years.
