BRAMMER (Ernest, Ernie). Entered eternal rest on Wednesday, 12th April 2023 at Royal Stoke University Hospital, surrounded by his devoted family, Ernie, aged 80, of Brown Lees. The beloved and treasured husband of Joyce; a cherished and wonderful dad of Alison, Claire and Jayne; dearest father-in-law to Jan, Adam and Tom; most precious granddad of Caitlin, Ethan, Mia, Erin, Elliot and Libby; loving brother of the late John; a much loved brother-in-law to June; a dear uncle, and a very good friend and neighbour to many. Ernie will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. A service of thanksgiving will take place at Biddulph Methodist Church on Tuesday, 9th May at 11am prior to a private interment. Will relatives please accept this, the only intimation, and would friends wishing to attend kindly meet for the ser-vice. COOPER (Frank). Suddenly passed away at his home address on 7th April 2023, Frank, aged 82 years, of Biddulph. The dearly loved and treasured husband of Carol; proud step-dad of Louise and Sam; loving granddad of Scott, Ross, Kelsey, Joanne and Adam; cherished brother and brother-in-law, and a special friend to many. A funeral to celebrate Frank’s life will be held at 10.30am on Tuesday, 16th May at Biddulph Methodist Church, followed by Committal Woodhouse Burial Ground. Family flowers only please. DEWHIRST (Beverly Ann, 30th September 1939 – 15th April 2023). Beverly passed away on 15th April 2023 at East Cheshire Hospice after a long battle with cancer at the age of 83. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on 30th September 1939 to Paul Ernest Dewhirst and Marjorie Dorothy Dennett. Beverly was predeceased by her husband Eugene Frison. She will be remembered by her family: Lindsay and Linda, Jeff and Kelly, Andy, and John, as well as sisters Karen, Patricia, Kathleen, Pauleen, brother Steve and their families, and many friends. Beverly spent her early years in Vancouver where she met the love of her life, Gene, in high school. They married in December 1958 and quickly grew their family to include four sons: Andrew, Jeffrey, Lindsay and John. They spent the next 28 years raising their boys in Richmond BC until Gene’s passing in 1987. She moved to Lindell Beach in the late 90s and spent the next decade there, making friends and enjoying life. She travelled extensively in Britain and the UK during these years and eventually made the decision to move there in 2011 where she lived in a lovely home in Congleton. Beverly made many new friends in the area and on her travels throughout Eu-rope. She loved writing poetry and creative writing eventually publishing her own novel and contributing to other publications. Beverly will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person who liked sharing her opinions with others and who enjoyed each day to the fullest. As Beverly wished, there will not be a formal service and she will be interred in the UK near her home. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Cancer Society or East Cheshire Hospice in her memory.

GILBERT (William Harvey, aka Harvey). Sadly passed away on 9th April 2023. Harvey will be fondly missed by his sisters Thelma and Moya, and brothers-in-law Michael and Jeff, and by all who knew him. The funeral service will take place at 1.45pm on Friday, 5th May at Wellspring Methodist Church, Congleton, prior to cremation at Macclesfield Crematorium. Family flowers only. SEABRIDGE (Beryl). Peacefully on 12th April 2023, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Beryl, aged 81 years, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late John Seabridge; loving mum of Julie, Sharon and the late Diane; a dear mother-in-law of David and Andrew; cherished nanna of Han-nah and Emily; a big nanna to Alaina, and a dear sister to Peter. The cortege is to leave her home on Monday, 22nd May at 12.45pm for a service at the United Reformed Church, Congleton, at 1pm, prior to interment at St Peter’s Church, Congleton. STEELE (John). Sadly passed away at Royal Stoke University Hospital on Thursday, 13th April 2023, John, aged 78, of Rode Heath. The dearly loved husband of June; much-loved dad of Miranda (Maz) and the late Greg, and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. John will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his family, friends, neighbours and Alfie. The funeral service and cremation are at Bradwell Crematorium on Friday, 12th May at 11.20am.
