BUTLIN (Rob). At peace on Wednesday, 8th September 2021, aged 38 years, after an illness fought with courage and dignity. The precious husband of Karen and devoted dad of Matthew and Zak; a much loved son of Vicky and Martyn; brother of Gemma and a nephew who will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all his family and many friends. A thanksgiving of Rob’s life will take place at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Alsager, on Friday 1st October at 11am followed by interment in Christ Church, Alsager, burial ground. Would everyone please meet at St Mary Magdalene’s Church. At Rob’s request please attend his service wearing what you feel most comfortable in. No flowers please, but for those who wish to make a donation the collection will be divided equally between Brain Tumour Research, Macmillan Cancer Support and St Luke’s Hospice. COPELAND (Cyril). Peacefully passed away after a short illness, Cyril, aged 85 years of Biddulph. A devoted husband to the late Janice; beloved father of Martyn; dear father-in-law to Carolyn; loving brother of Sheila, Sylvia and the late Arthur, Len, Marie, Doris, Jean and Joan, and granddad to Adam. Cyril will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his family and friends. The funeral service will take place at Biddulph Methodist Church Tuesday, 5th October on at 10.15am, followed by a Committal at Carmountside Crematorium. Family Flowers only. GEAR (Sinead). Sinead passed away peacefully, on Monday 13th September 2021 at Bristol Royal Infirmary, surrounded by her loving family, aged 26. The cherished of daughter of Karen; loving fiancé to Daniel; cherished granddaughter of Stephen and the late Jenny, and treasured sister to Courtney. Sinead will be lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 1pm on Thursday, 30th September. The family request a splash of the colour purple to be worn to the service. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Sinead’s memory. We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to Blood Cancer UK. GRIFFIN (Jean). Passed away peacefully at Leighton Hospital, aged 88 years, Jean, of Sandbach. The beloved wife of the late Steve; dearly loved mum of Stephen and Michael; a much-loved grandma, great-grandma, sister and auntie. The funeral service will take place at St Mary’s Church, Sandbach, on Monday, 27th September at 11am followed by burial at Sandbach Cemetery. JENKINSON (Sylvia, MBE, nee Dines). On 4th September 2021, at Macclesfield District General Hospital after a short illness, Sylvia Jean aged 70 years, of Bosley. The dearly loved wife of Ron; treasured and loved mum of Susannah and Richard; dearest mum-in-law of Sofia; devoted grandma of Casey, Layton, Harry and Jamie; cherished sister of Ruth and Carol, and a dearest sister-in-law and aunty. The funeral is Wednesday, 6th October, with a service at St Mary’s Church, Bosley, at noon prior to cremation at Macclesfield Crematorium. Will friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church. PEMBERTON (Terence James). Peacefully at Macclesfield District General Hospital, on Wednesday, 8th September 2021 and aged 87 years, of Congleton. The devoted husband of the late Gwyneth Pemberton; loving dad of Mark, Jeremy, Adrian, Julian and Gareth; father-in-law of Marion, Janet, Claire and Natalie, and a cherished granddad and great-granddad. The cortege is to leave his home on Wednesday, 29th September at 11.30am for a service at Congleton Pentecostal Church at 11.45, prior to committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. SPENCER (John Kenneth). Passed away peacefully at Macclesfield Hospital on 3rd September 2021, John, aged 77 years, of Holmes Chapel, and formerly Wheelock. WHITEHURST (Patricia Anne, “Pat”). Peacefully passed away on 14th September 2021 at East Cheshire Hospice, with her loving family by her side, Pat, aged 74 years of Gillow Heath. The devoted wife of Peter; dear mother of Kerry and Shaun; special mother-in-law of Thomas and Karen; much loved grandma of Shaun, Joel and Erin; loving sister of Pauline, Judy, Derek and the late Carol and Margaret, and a special friend to many.
