BENTLEY. Margaret Bentley, of Congleton, passed away surrounded by family on 11th April 2022, aged 71. Much-loved wife of Roy Bentley (deceased); dear mum of Andrew and Julie; mother-in-law of Anna and Matthew; much-loved grandparent of Leah Jade, and great-grandparent of Hallie Brooke. The funeral service is at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday, 29th April at 12.15pm. BIBBY (Jean). Suddenly but peacefully on 5th April 2022 at her home in Leek, Jean, aged 85. The beloved wife of the late Howard Bibby, and sadly missed by family and friends. The funeral is on Wednesday, 4th May at St Leonard’s Church, Ipstones, at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Ipstones Cemetery. Will friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church. DURBER (James). Peacefully at St Stephen’s Nursing Home on 12th April 2022, Jim, aged 72, of Smallwood. The dearly beloved husband of Sheila; much-loved father of Alison, Louise and James; father-in-law of Mark and Judy; treasured granddad of Lucy, Adam, Shannon, Connor, Charley, Jonathon and Rachel, and great-granddad to Eddie, Dexter and Giles. HAMBROOK (Julian Charles). Passed away peacefully at home on 17th April 2022, Julian, aged 76, of Sandbach Heath. The beloved husband of Carol; much-loved dad to Craig and Spencer, and a fun-loving granddad. The funeral service is at St John’s Church, Sandbach Heath, on Friday, 29th April at noon, followed by private committal. MARRIOTT (Anthony John, “Tony”). Passed away peacefully at home on 25th March 2022, Tony, aged 86. The beloved husband of the late Marie; a much-loved father and granddad, and a great-granddad to Annabelle. The funeral service is on Friday, 22nd April at Trinity Methodist Church, Wagg Street, Congleton, at 1pm, prior to a committal at The Birches Crematorium. POOLE (George William). It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of George Poole, aged 79, peacefully in the presence of his family and caring staff of Astbury Mere Nursing Home. George was the dearly loved and loving husband of Gwyneth and together through 58 years of marriage they raised sons Timothy, Mark and James, who will miss the man they idolised dearly. George will also be missed by daughters-in-law Helen, Tracy and Grace, and three devoted grandchildren Esme, Cassian and Lena. He was also brother to Catherine, Michael and the late Christine, and a very dear brother-in-law and uncle. The celebration of his life will take place at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, at noon on Friday, 29th April, followed by committal at Bradwell Crematorium at 1.20pm. The family kindly requests family flowers only but donations preferred in memory of George to Alzheimer’s Research would be truly appreciated. SUTTON (Michael Arthur). On 7th April 2022, peacefully, in the care of Leighton Hospital, Michael passed away aged 85. Much-loved dad to Sharon, Philip and Tracy, and a cherished granddad, great-granddad and uncle. Many may remember Michael from his service both in the probation service and the ambulance service.
