BEECH (James Edward). At rest on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024 at Royal Stoke University Hospital, James, aged 75, of Knypersley. The devoted and beloved husband of Thelma, a loving uncle and a very dear friend and neighbour to many. James will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The funeral service will take place at Christ Church, Biddulph Moor, on Monday, 30th September at 11am, prior to a committal service at Carmountside Crematorium. Will relatives please accept this, the only intimation, and would friends wishing to attend kindly meet for the service. BENNETT (Raymond James). Peacefully at home on 1st September 2024, Raymond James, aged 79, of Timbersbrook. The dearly loved and devoted husband of Hazel; loving dad of Julie and Victoria; dear father-in-law of David and Keith; cherished grandy of Josh, Liam, Meg, Hollie and Ed; treasured great-grandy of Evan; dear brother and brother-in-law, and a great friend to many. Ray will be sadly missed but always lovingly remembered by his family and friends. A service of thanksgiving for Raymond’s life is to take place at Key Green Chapel on Friday, 27th September at 1.15pm. BERRISFORD (Elsie). Passed away peacefully on 7th September 2024 at Park Lane Care Home, Knypersley, with her loving daughter by her side, Elsie, aged 100, from Knypersley. A devoted wife of the late Edgar; dearly loved mum of Yvonne; devoted nan of Dawn, Karen and Antony; great-nan of Andrew, Chantell, Bradley, Luke, Danny, Isabella and Isaac and a dear sister to the late Vera, Kenneth, Marjorie and Maurice. Elsie will be sadly missed but loving remembered by all her family and friends. The funeral service will take place at John’s Church, Knypersley, on Tuesday, 8th October at 11am, followed by interment at St Lawrence’s Churchyard. FOSTER (Dawn Belinda). Passed away peacefully at home in Congleton following a short battle with cancer, aged 58. Survived by her sons Michael, Samuel and Matthew, and her much-loved grandchildren Lexi, Esmae and Freddie. A free spirit, Dawn lived to drive heavy goods vehicles, following in her father’s footsteps, travelling the country and not afraid of the associated hard work and early morning starts. Immersing herself into her passion, Dawn was a regular visitor of shows, and made many friends through her trade as a trucker, working with James Leech Haulage. A pet lover with a menagerie of cats over the years, Dawn was an avid reader, a huge fan of music, and loved to socialise, finding all she needed in Congleton where she married and started her family, staying where she laid down her roots. It was with immense gratitude to Macmillan nurses she undertook fundraising to support their services while in their care. A service and cremation will be held at The Birches Crematorium (CW9 7SU) on Friday, 20th September at 11am. Will all friends please meet at the crematorium. JONES (Heather). Heather passed unexpectedly on Sunday, 1st September 2024 at Royal Stoke University Hospital, aged 63. The cherished wife of the late Ken Jones; loving daughter to the late Joyce and late Ronnie Mickle; much-loved sister to Gary and sister-in-law to Gary, and a respected friend, auntie and cousin. Heather will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour and warm personality and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at The Old Chapel, Etruria (ST1 5PE), at noon on Tuesday, 24th September. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Heather’s life. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolence and cards that have been sent in Heather’s memory. Peacefully at rest on 4th September 2024 while in the loving care of his family and all the staff at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Ron, of Gillow Heath, Biddulph, aged 82. A devoted husband to the late Margaret; a loving dad to Jennifer; a special father-in-law to Andrew; a cherished granddad to Megan and Bethany as well as their partners George and Ryan; a special brother to Joan and the late Kenneth (Ken) and brother-in-law to Paula, and dear uncle to Roderick and a relative and friend to many more. Ron will be truly missed. A funeral service is to be held at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, on Tuesday, 24th September at 11.30am, followed by interment at Biddulph Cemetery.
