ASHTON (Roy). Passed away on 4th August 2023. Roy, aged 90, of Brereton. Much loved husband of Lilian, wonderful dad to Julie, Mark, Kim and Darryl, a loving granddad and great-granddad. Funeral service to be held at St Oswald’s Church, Brereton on Wednesday, 30th August at 11am, followed by interment in the churchyard. BOOTH (Edith). Peacefully on Saturday, 5th August 2023 while at Cavendish Court Care Home, Alderley Edge. Edith, aged 92, of Congleton, formerly of Howey Lane. The dearly beloved and devoted wife of the late Bryan Booth. A treasured mum of Richard and Robert, dearest mother-in-law to Eileen and Helen, cherished and most precious Nan Booth of Laura, Katie, Emma, Harriet and Benjamin and their partners Corina, Sam and David, loving big nanny to great-grandchildren Edie, Samuel, Logan, Liezl and Ellis, a dear aunt and a good friend and neighbour to many. Edith will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. A service to celebrate the life and love of Edith will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 31st August at 10.45am. BOTHMANN (Wolfgang Jörg “Tom”). Passed peacefully in a local care home on Tuesday, 8th August, 2023. Wolfgang, aged 85. Beloved and loving husband of the late Rosa, loving father of Jane, devoted grandfather of Hanja and a dear father-in-law to Alan. Wolfgang will be missed greatly by all who knew him. The funeral service and committal will take place at 2.45pm on Wednesday, 30th August at Macclesfield Crematorium. KENNERLEY (Ernest). It is with great sadness that Ernest passed away unexpectedly, aged 84, on Tuesday, 8th August 2023 at Leighton Hospital, surrounded by his loving brother Wilfred, sister Eva and friend Bob. Ernest will be lovingly remembered for his warm personality, a friendly smile, his love of gardening and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at Key Green Methodist Church, Congleton, CW12 3PY, on Wednesday, 30th August at 10am. This will be followed by a private family committal at Macclesfield Crematorium.
