CURTIS (Joseph William). Peacefully at Leighton Hospital on Thursday, 28th April 2022, Bill, aged 86, of Sandbach. The dearly beloved husband of Brenda, and much-loved brother of Barbara. DRAKEFORD (Alan). Sadly passed away in Tenerife while on holiday, Alan, aged 74, of Biddulph. The loving husband of Linda; devoted dad of Suzanne, Carolyn and their husbands Philip and Ian; proud granddad of Charlotte, Nick and Max; great-granddad to Henry, and cherished brother of Carol and Geoffrey. The funeral service is on Monday, 23rd May at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, at 11.15am, prior to a short committal at Bradwell Crematorium at 12.40pm. FINNEY (Ronald Arthur, “Ron”). Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at Tall Oaks Care Home, Biddulph, on 27th April 2022, Ron, aged 92, of Gillow Heath, and formerly of Shelton. A devoted husband of Mavis; much-loved dad of Joy and Debbie; cherished father-in-law of Steve and Mark, and a dearly loved grandpa and great-grandpa. Ron will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. A funeral service is to be held on Tuesday, 17th May at 1.30pm to celebrate the life of Ron at Christ Church, Biddulph Moor, followed by committal at Woodhouse Burial Ground. Would family and friends wishing to attend please meet at the church. Floral tributes welcome in memory of Ron. Mourning clothes not necessary, as per Ron’s wishes. Peacefully at rest on Thursday, 9th December 2021, while at Delray Medical Centre, Florida, United States, Bill, aged 90, of Florida, United States, and formerly of Scholar Green, Stoke-on-Trent. He was the dearly loved husband of Leslie; loving dad of the late Nicholas; a much-loved step-dad of Sheri and Dawn; beloved father-in-law of Alex and Bryony; adored granddad of Robbie; devoted step-grandpa of Danielle, Robyn, Stephanie, Samantha and Joshua; cherished great-granddad of Reece Nicholas; a special brother of Margaret, and a dear brother-in-law of Clive. Bill will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends. A memorial service and interment take place at All Saints’ Church, Odd Rode, on Friday, 20th May at 2pm.
