Local golf course Marton Meadows has just opened its new, elevated third tee – and a launch video on TikTok has already gone viral, clocking up more than 100,000 views.
The new tee, named The Cloud in honour of the famous landmark that overlooks the area, is sponsored by Bear Grills Cafe, Congleton.
The tee was nicknamed The Cloud by Marton member Derek Maddocks, because of its height and the views when teeing off. When Marton Meadows manager Chad Parker heard, he thought it would be a great idea to officially name it that.
The new tee is just one of the many additions the club is making at its Congleton Road site in Marton, with a new clubhouse, course extension and driving range all on the horizon.
