This Halloween season, Congleton Museum is inviting thrill-seekers, families, and history buffs alike to experience “The Centurion’s Curse”, a spine-tingling escape room adventure.
Many years ago, under a blood-red moon, Dr John Blackwood, a daring archaeologist, discovered a cursed ring on an expedition to Rome … only to meet a tragic and inexplicable end after taking it back to Congleton Museum.
Now, with Halloween’s eerie shadows closing in, escapees must navigate the haunted halls, solve the cryptic clues left by his grieving wife and daughter and find the cursed ring before the spirits of the past claim another soul.
Participants must decipher clues, unlock hidden secrets, and unravel the mystery before time runs out. Can they break the curse and escape in time, or will they become the latest victim of the Centurion’s wrath? Pre-booking is essential. Tickets ((£10 for a group of up to eight people) are available through the museum’s website.
“We’re thrilled to bring a new type of experience to Congleton Museum this Halloween,” said Anna Maluk, museum manager.
“‘The Centurion’s Curse’ blends local history with a captivating escape room adventure. It’s an opportunity for people of all ages to engage with the museum in a completely unique and thrilling way.
“As a charity, we’re always looking for ways to engage new audiences. We want to show that there’s always something happening at the museum; things you might not expect.”
