The Lions Clubs of six local towns – Alsager, Buxton, Congleton, Knutsford, Macclesfield and Vale Royal, Northwich – have joined forces to help fight cancer and to raise funds for the new Christie hospital in Macclesfield.
The Pride of Six Lion Clubs want to raise £10k and locally Lions are asking the people of Alsager and surrounding areas to run or walk 10k to help to contribute towards the 10k.
The money raised will help fund the construction of a consulting room at the new hospital in the grounds of the district general.
“We need the help, please, of many local people in order to get to our goal,” said Lion Ken Livingston.
There is a minimum £10 entry. To find out more, visit christie.nhs.uk
