BARBER (Carol, “Jean”). Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 8th February 2025 at East Cheshire Hospice with her loving family by her side, Jean, aged 79, of Congleton, formerly from Biddulph. The devoted wife of the late Anthony (Tony); treasured mum of Lesley and Stephen and cherished sister of Diane and John; loving mother-in-law of Martin, and adored grandmother of Laura. BEARD (Jacqueline, “Jackie”). Jackie passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, 6th February 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, aged 86. The cherished wife of Peter; loving mum to Joanne; much-loved nan of Rebekah, Emily and Lois; great-nanna of Freya, Darcie, Sophia, Milo, Dora and Jude and loving sister of the late Jean and David. Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her unconditional love, trustworthy character, and wise but sometimes amusing words of wisdom and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at the Birches Crematorium, near Northwich, at noon on Tuesday, 4th March. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Jackie’s life. BROCKLEHURST (Alexandra Moira). Alexandra Moira passed away on 14th January 2025 at Primrose House Nursing Home in Haslington, Crewe. She was the wife of Peter, and sadly missed mother of Mark, Jane and Dawn. Formerly of West Heath, Congleton and Macclesfield.

BUCKLEY (Eileen, nee Tomlinson, 1948-2025). Passed away peacefully at Clayton Manor Care Home on 11th February, aged 76. A much-loved mum to Joanne and Emma; devoted sister to Hilary and Vivienne; adoring grandmother to Reggie, Maddison and Tobias, and auntie to Clare, Barrie and Grace. Eileen was born at home in Woodhouse Lane, Gawsworth, was educated at the local schools and regularly attended Sunday school at St James The Great Church. With a twinkle in her eye, a smile on her face and a skip in her step, she always brought a sense of warmth and compassion to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. EARDLEY (Geoffrey). Passed away peacefully at home, with his family, on 19th January 2025, aged 81. The husband of Patricia; father to Gavin, Paul and Andrew and their partners, and a caring granddad to Grace, Eva and Mya. Geoff will be truly missed by all family and friends. The cremation was held privately on Thursday, 13th February.

GOODWIN (Joyce). Peacefully on 31st January 2025, Joyce, aged 83, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Stanley Goodwin; loving mum of Gordon, Stephen and Caroline; dear mother-in-law of Louise, Sara and Dave, and a cherished and treasured nan and great-nan. The devoted wife of Derek; much-loved mum of the late Colin and the late Carl; dearly loved nana of Nicola, Natasha, Ashley, Joshua and a very special great-nana. Recently the devoted partner of Shaun, and formerly of “Drac”; cherished daughter of Linda and the late Bill. Much loved sister of Belinda and sister-in-law of Mick; devoted and loved mum of Connor and Reece; mother-in-law to Grace, and a much-loved nanna to Ralph. Paula will be very sadly missed and forever lovingly remembered by all her friends and family.
