BILLINGTON (Barbara Ann). Peacefully passed away on 24th August 2024, aged 86 years, of Knypersley, at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and surrounded by her loving family. The devoted wife of the late Neil; much-loved mother of Martin, Paul and Joanne and a treasured grandmother and great grandmother, Barbara will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Family flowers only please; donations preferred to Alzheimer’s Research UK. A service and committal will be held at Carmountside Crematorium on Monday, 9th September at 1.30pm. BOSTOCK Terry. Peacefully at rest on 27th August 2024, Terry aged 89 years of Goostrey. The devoted husband of Molly; much-loved dad of Des; and a treasured granddad and great-granddad. Terry will be sadly missed by all of his family and many friends. A service and cremation will take place at The Birches Crematorium on Wednesday, 11th September at 10.30am. DAVENPORT (Ann). Peacefully passed away on 17th August 2024 at Astbury Mere Care Home, Ann aged 85 years of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late John “Jack” Davenport; dear sister-in-law of Ann and the late Mick Hough; aunt of John and his wife Amanda, and great aunt of Joshua and Ollie. The cortege is to leave her home on Friday, 20th September at 10.50am for the service and interment at St Peter’s Church, Congleton, at 11am. DOORBAR (Gertrude, “Gerty”). Peacefully passed away at Royal Stoke University Hospital on 21st August 2024, with her loving family by her side, Gerty, aged 93 years, of Biddulph. The devoted wife and best friend to the late Fred; much-loved mum of Myles, Colin and Hazel; dearly loved nan and nanan of Tracy, Emma, Andrew, Matthew and Amy, and a special great grandma. GILBERT (Barbara, nee Fox). Peacefully on 22nd August 2024 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Barbara, aged 86 years, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Barry and the late Reg Moss; a devoted mum of Gail; a cherished and treasured nana of Lauren, and great-nana of Amora. A horse-drawn cortege is to leave her home on Thursday, 12th September at 10.45am for a service at Holy Trinity Church, Mossley, at 11am, prior to interment at St Mary’s Church, Astbury. MILLARD (Mary Dorothy, “Reece”). Peacefully passed away on 20th August 2024, at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, Reece, age 86 years, of Harriseahead. The devoted wife of Allan; dearly loved mum of Karen, Adrian and Julian and the late Andrew; mother-in-law of Ron, Dionne, Karen and Jill; dear Nanna of Arran, Aiden, Azaria, Ethan, Keanan, Liam and Georgia and their wife, husband and fiancées Jessica, Nikita, Cameron, Sophie and Megan; and a much-loved a great-nanna of Poppy, Alfie, Halle, Charlie, Oscar, Miller, Freya, Luca and Beatrice. MOORES (Beryl, née Birtles). At rest on Thursday 22nd August 2024, while at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Beryl, aged 90 years of Congleton, and formerly of Scholar Green. A beloved and devoted wife to Harold; loving daughter of the late Edith and George Birtles, and a very dear friend and good neighbour to many. Beryl will be sadly missed. WATSON (Brian). Brian passed away peacefully on Thursday, 29th August 2024 at East Cheshire Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, aged 83. Brian will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humour and strength of character, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at Macclesfield Crematorium, at 11.30am on Tuesday, 17th September. We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to East Cheshire Hospice. WILSHAW (Jacqueline Margaret). It is with great sadness that the family of Jacqueline Margaret Wilshaw, of Biddulph Moor, and formerly of Church Close, announce her death on 24th August 2024. Jacqueline was much loved as a mother, mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother. Her funeral will be held on 17th September at St John’s Church at 11.30am.
