Fund-raisers The Milk Maid Marchers held a “wonderful” afternoon tea in the Tipi event last month, when 150 guests were treated courtesy of Beech Tree Catering.
The group thanked the Hollins family for allowing them to use their tipis after the wedding of their daughter Katy to Ryan Emery at Balterley Green Farm, Balterley, near Barthomley.
The Marchers raised £2,684 on the day, which will go to The Christie Hospital in Manchester.
A Marchers spokesperson said: “We could not put this event on without the generous support of our sponsors and also want to thank their children and families along with everyone else who donated a raffle prize.”
Formed in 2012, the Milk Maid Marchers raise funds for charity through a variety of events, such as sponsored walks and baking cakes. Since they started, they have raised more than £100k for charity, with the main focus being The Christie charity.
