CAMPBELL (Alan). Passed away peacefully on 14th November 2023 after a long illness at home, surrounded by his family, Alan aged 83. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Winnie; adored daughter Wendy and son-in-law Will; the late Wayne a devoted son and daughter-in-law Paulette, and cherished granddaughter Nicola; brother Roy, and sister-in-law Marie. GASKILL (Charles Wilfred, Wilf). At rest on Saturday, 11th November 2023 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Wilf, aged 81 years, of Brown Lees, formerly of Biddulph Moor. The dearly beloved husband of the late Jean; much-loved dad of Melvin and Mandie; stepdad of Tony and Stephen, and a treasured granddad and great-granddad and a very dear father-in-law and brother-in-law. The funeral cortege will leave his own residence on Wednesday, 29th November for a service and cremation at Carmountside Crematorium at 11.30am. GIBSON (Barbara). Passed away peacefully at her home address on 13th November 2023, with her loving family by her side, Barbara, aged 81 years of Biddulph Park, formally of Smallthorne. The devoted wife of Bernard; dearly loved mum of Tracy, Neal and Clare; cherished mother-in-law, much-loved grandma and great-grandma and a special friend to many. HOLLAND (Anne). Peacefully passed away on Thursday, 2nd November at Salford Royal Hospital, after a very short illness, Anne, aged 55 years, and late of Congleton. A dearly beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She leaves behind her children Evan, Zoe and Tye; grandson Lenny and granddaughter Lacey-ann; parents Geof and Sue, and brother David, and sister-in-law Sally-ann. Anne was born at Stepping Hill Hospital Stockport and raised in Congleton where she spent most of her life. Anne was always on hand to support her ageing parents, helping with raising her grandchildren and lending a hand at her sister-in-law’s business with very little notice. She will be sadly missed. The funeral is to be held on Friday, 8th December at St Peter’s Church, Chapel Street, Congleton, at noon, prior to interment at Congleton Cemetery. HUNTER (Norma Ann). It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma, who passed away peacefully in the care of Springbank Nursing Home, Biddulph, aged 76, on 11th November 2023. Formerly of Lotus Avenue, Knypersley, Norma was the cherished wife of the late John and dearly loved mum to Stephen and Richard. Also a devoted grandma to Martin, Grace, Emily, Jakob, Imogen, Joshua, Ciara and Jack. She is survived by her sister Lynne and brother Bryan and will be forever loved and missed by all her family and many friends, both in Staffordshire and Durham. The funeral and thanksgiving service for her life will be held at Carmountside Crematorium Thursday, 30th November at 2.30pm. JOHNSON (Neville). At rest 18th November 2023, at home, after a battle fought with great dignity and courage, Neville aged 79 years. OAKES (Lillian Mary). Peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, 6th November 2023 while in the care of the staff at Springbank Nursing Home, Lillian, aged 81, of Biddulph Moor. The beloved and devoted wife of the late Jack; loving step-mum to John and Colin; dearest mother-in-law to Christine and Sheila; a treasured nan of Steven, Peter, Kerry and their partners; a cherished great-nan of Jonny, Jozef, Henry, Ted, Isabella and Jasper, and a very dear friend to many. Lillian will be deeply missed but affectionately remembered by all her family and friends. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will take place at Hill Top Methodist Church, Biddulph Moor on Friday, 1st December at 1pm.
