It’s going to be the greatest day for Take That fans when Congleton Town Council presents the world’s number one Take That tribute act.

Rule The World will take to the stage at Congleton Town Hall on Friday, 6th October. Now in their 15th year of touring, the acclaimed band will perform a show guaranteed to relight fans’ fire, playing all Take That’s greatest hits.

The event has been organised by town centre and events officer Rachel McCarthy and any profit from the event will be ring-fenced for future town events.

She said: “Doors open at 6.30pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. The talented three-piece will play two spectacular 45-minute sets. The town hall has a licensed bar and large dance floor so there will be plenty of room for dancing and partying all night long.

“We hope this will be the first of many fund-raising tribute events at the town hall.”

Rule The World recently appeared alongside Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters and the real Take That on BBC1’s “The Graham Norton Show”. After hearing lead singer Dan Maines speak, a stunned Gary Barlow said in amazement: “He sounds like me! These guys are good!”

Rule The World have also featured on ITV1’s “Daybreak” and have had rave reviews from many people including television personality Ricky Tomlinson and Denise Van Outen. Mr Barlow himself tweeted the band to say he thought they were “brilliant”.

Tickets for the Congleton Town Hall show cost £18 per person, available from Congleton Information Centre and online at ticketsource.co.uk/congleton-town-council.
