Racist graffiti scrawled at a playing field in Biddulph was removed 24 hours after it had been reported.
The vandalism, at Church Road Playing Fields, was acted upon quickly by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, that maintains the area.
The graffiti was spotted last Tuesday and, that evening, Labour Coun Kevin Jackson told a meeting of the town council: “From what I have been told, it is pretty nasty.”
A resident reported the offensive slogan to the town council’s chief officer, who informed the district council.
By Wednesday lunchtime, the district’s street scene team had cleaned it off.
